Anyone planning a dojo, a boxing gym or a fitness studio hits the same two numbers first: what a building costs, and how long before it may be used. An expandable structure changes both. The unit arrives complete, two operators deploy it in around 30 minutes by hydraulic side expansion, and the usable floor area runs from 96 to 235 m² depending on the model.
What it does not do is behave like an event hall. A venue is judged on how it looks with people sitting in it; a training space is judged on what happens when people move in it — landing, throwing, breathing hard for two hours a day, six days a week. Those differences belong in the brief.
For a banquet hall the useful questions are capacity, layout and finish. For a training hall they are different: what lands on the floor each session, what hangs above it, how many people move at once, and how long the room stays occupied each day. A yoga studio, a martial arts school and a gym with free weights put three different load patterns into the same structure, and the answer changes with each one. Write the activity down before asking for a size; the size follows from it.
Two figures matter: the distributed load across the floor, and any point load concentrated in one spot. Racks, weight stations, a heavy bag rig or a stretching frame are point loads, and anything hung from above counts as one — even though the roof is designed for around 300 kg/m² distributed. Matting adds both weight and a threshold question — tatami and rubber mats lift the finished floor level, and that has to be known before door openings are set. The frame behind all of it is national-standard Q235 and Q345 manganese square steel, the same construction used across our expandable sports facility range. Give us the equipment list and the training type, and the floor specification can be matched to it.
"Without stairs" usually means the finished floor has to sit level with the ground, and that is a site decision as much as a product decision — it changes the approach, the ramping, or a recess in the slab. Double entrance doors can be customised, but the opening has to be checked against what actually passes through it: mats, racks, treadmills, a ring. Transport width is around 2.55 m depending on configuration, which sets a practical ceiling on how wide a side opening can be built and still travel. If the unit will move on public roads, the permitted width and height are decided by the vehicle authority in the destination market, not by the supplier.
Thirty people training generate heat and moisture quickly, and a sealed box becomes uncomfortable long before it becomes dangerous. Wall and roof panels use 50 mm polyurethane insulation, which keeps the interior cool in summer and warm in winter and reduces the air-conditioning load — but the system still has to be sized for the activity, not the floor area alone. An interior height of about 3.8 m and above gives the volume a hall needs. Interior materials are B2 fire-retardant rated. Two things are better raised at design stage than discovered later: acoustic treatment, because a hard-walled hall reflects every impact, and humidity. If the plan is a permanently humid hot room for hot yoga, that is a sealing and condensation problem of a different order, and that is better said before drawings start.
Many training projects do not need the unit to move once it is in place. If it stays put, road-chassis approval may fall away, which changes both the cost and the document set — so settle that early rather than after the order. Whether a structure may be used on a site, where it may stand and what paperwork it needs is decided by the local authority in the destination market, and answers differ by country. Ask for technical drawings, steel grade and panel data in writing, then hand them to whoever handles the permit. That handover is far cheaper before production than after arrival.
Send the training area you need, the equipment that will sit on the floor and anything that will hang from above, and we will come back with the model and the floor specification that fit — before any drawing is issued.
